Let's Catch Up

Oh man.
I am so glad the last few weeks are over.
I am going to take this all the way back to August 8th.
This summer my school had the asbestos removed and the floors redone.
Basically we were unable to get into the school all summer.
On Friday, August 8th we got the call that we could come back!
I skipped all over the new floors to get to my new room.
Only to find it full of cafeteria tables.
Whomp Whomp.

On Tuesday they got the tables out of my room, and I went to town on all the boxes.
Did I mention this was my second year in a row taking over a class for a retiring teacher?
Yeah. Let's talk about teachers.
We are hoarders.
No.Joke.

I have an obnoxious amount of paper clips too.

This was the first standardized test I took.

FLOPPY DISKS?!

Anyway. My room was no where near being ready when inservice started the Monday after school opened, and some how the keys to my file cabinets went missing. I may or may not have skipped going to lunch Monday with my peers to sit in my room and cry.

I rallied though and by Monday, August 25th my room looked like this:

Ignore all the unpacked boxes and broken down boxes. Our ESL assistant had to go in for gallbladder surgery and hasn't gotten a chance to finish unpacking.

Do you like my bunting?

I am going to have some for sale on my Etsy store soon. YAY!
I will also have some stuff that looks like this:
I love Halloween so much.

When it comes to quilting, I have been having some fun with 9 patches.

The disappearing 9 patch is in Lula Magnolia from Riley Blake.
To me it just screams Florida.
I would move to Florida in a heart beat.
I am in love with this fabric.
